These Kohler KEP service-entrance-rated automatic transfer switches sit between the utility and your building, usually in commercial or light-industrial sites where you can’t afford to lose power. This manual is what I’d keep on hand when installing, setting up, or checking operation of the switch so it transfers cleanly between utility and generator. If, for example, the switch hangs in one position or doesn’t retransfer after the utility comes back, I’d use this document to verify wiring, control settings, and basic operating sequence before digging deeper.
